This experiment of trying to match my voice to the pitch of the waves didn't work becasue the sounds within the waves were layered and complex. This observation led me to shift my focus from determining pitch to concentrate on the activity of sounds instead

To start producing graphics for the score, another experiment I tried at the beach was to depict the position of the sounds around me. The 'X' marks the spot where I sat, and around me are the marks where I could here the direction of the sound coming from, as well as starting to draw shapes of the patterns I could hear within the sounds.
