Marina Abramović

I have always loved her work, but watching this video recently, I like how she refers to her work as 'immaterial' as this term is so suitable to the ephemeral nature of her works. I know that leaning towards immateriality seems quite contrary to what I've been working with this term which has a big emphasis of tactile drawings and process, but after introducing phenomenology, I have now come to realise the mental phenomena's importance over the physical. This is why I have made the decision to move towards creating something that is intangible.
