For the development piece using the piano, Nils Frahm links because of his philosophy of playing and the techniques he uses too. 

A lot of his work is never played the same twice, and he encourages people who play his music to go with it; if you want to change a few notes or extend certain note lengths, the way it is played is totally up to the player, rather than himself, the author of the music.

A significant aspect of his piano music is the use of a damper and the soft effects this has on the sound quality - I think it works quite well with the delicacy I try to emulate in my work.
