Of all the works I have created this term, I feel that this is the most successful. Gradually throughout the experiments, I have realised that the thing I am most interested in is the process. As a film, this captures the essence of how I create a sense of touch drawing. For this piece in particular, I was blindfolded and used a very tactile material to produce the drawings. I mixed flour with acrylic paint and water, which gave me an almost dough-like material to work with, it also enabled me to build texture and scrape away material depending on what I was feeling with my feeling hand. Also, this is a further investigation into agency and capacity, but on a much smaller scale than the drawings I did onto my back or in the chance experiment. Here I am feeling my left hand with my fingers on my left hand.
